What are some cool and easy stitches in knitting?

I can good! I was wondering what are some other stitches other than knit or purl.

ALL knitting patterns are based on knit and purl. As long as you also know how to drop stitches and add stitches, you can knit anything. The difficulty is being able to count stitches without errors with some of the complicated patterns. When you buy a pattern book, the pattern will be explained in the instructions----but they are ALL only combinations of knit and purl stitches. Have fun.
