1. If you plan to operate the business for a profit, then it's not realistic to expect donations of machines. Talk to machine suppliers and ask about buying used machines and working out a payment plan, or go to the bank and take out a small business loan. The bank or the machine supplier will want to see your business plan and see your assets and liabilities. Having them ready will make the process faster. If you don't know how to write this out, go to the library and talk to a librarian. He or she can point you toward books that will show you how to do all these things. They will also have directories and contact information for makers of embroidery machines if you do not have a company in mind.
