Where can i buy knitting kits here in the Philippines?

I'm planning to knit a beanie hat for my boyfriend because he's going to Hong Kong this Christmas and I don't know where to buy a knitting kit. I am also a beginner at knitting, so if you could suggest a kit that has instructions with it, that would be awesome. Thanks. P.S. Which do you think would make a better beanie, a crocheted one or a knitted one? Thanks
