Stitches

when turning the heel in a pair of socks how do I join the heel stitches to the instep stitches without holes?

wrapping stitches stops the holes down the side, but I end up with a massive hole on either side when I join the heel stitches with the instep stitches

1. when I see that part coming I will knit 2 together as I am doing that or psso just to tighten up and not have the hole.. have had to back up far too many times to undo crap...sometimes just picking up an extra stitch when joining the heel and the instep gives the extra to k2together to prevent the hole. finally learned to do socks after all these years of knitting everything else...so have been doing lots of socks for the holidays. hope that helps!!
