how do you wash a crochet Afghan that was made 50 yrs ago?
i have a beautiful Afghan that was made over 50 or more years ago and when i left it got left behind. i have it now and needs to be washed. its a beautiful white so i don't know what i can put in the water to hand wash it can anyone help me please????

- I'd take it to the laundy mat.
- I would find a detergent made for delicate materials. If you can't find one then I suggest taking it to the cleaners.
- Use Woolite and wash it by hand in the bath tub then lay it out on a towel to dry. If it is yellowed there are products that will take the yellow out safely - I think one is called Restoration.
- My washer has a hand wash cycle on it so I would use that. Being very careful as to what detergent I used. Woolite or something similar.
