- You could look up Youtube tutorials.
- Get a book from Michael's, some yarn and crocheting hook. Or google how to crochet video's. I just learned. It took me about 20 mins to get it! Its really fun!!!
- you can try learning online, here are some websites to learn from Learn To Crochet http://www.learntoknit.com/ Learn crochet http://learntocrochet.lionbrand.com/ Free Crochet Lessons and how to's http://www.craftown.com/crolesson.htm Basic Crochet Instructions http://www.learntoknit.com/instructions_cr.php3 others http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/content.html?type_id=S http://www.crochetcabana.com Don't leave out youtube! youtube also have very great videos to learn from. for patterns visit: http://www.lionbrand.com http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com
- I recommend Klutz books. The instruction is clear and easy to follow.
- I recommend checking your local craft store to see if they have classes. If they don't go to Youtube, I learned how to knit on youtube and cranked out 5 scarves in 3 weeks.
- There are thousands of books available, but you could talk with a friend even try your Mom, Grand Mom and their friends. Anyone of them would probably enjoy the company and they love to share. If that doesn't work, try a senior citizen home. Call for their activities director and she can probably match you with a good teacher. And you will be delighted in the stores they can tell you while teaching. Most of those old coots are priceless. I taught myself to crochet. I went to the local store, asked a lot of stupid questions and picked out some yard and needles (with help from the elderly clerk-who quickly figured out that I had no idea what I was doing) When I asked for 25 skeins of my yard, she said.....well, honey, what are you going to make? I told her I wanted to make a kindsize bedspread. And she said. well, honey, couldn't you start with a scarf? Nope!, wanted a bedspread. But I made the scarf later.
- Any craft store sells beginner or how-to books. Michaels, A.C. Moore, etc. Also, some of them have classes to teach you at little or no cost.
