  1. You could look up Youtube tutorials.
  2. Get a book from Michael's, some yarn and crocheting hook. Or google how to crochet video's. I just learned. It took me about 20 mins to get it! Its really fun!!!
  3. you can try learning online, here are some websites to learn from Learn To Crochet http://www.learntoknit.com/ Learn crochet http://learntocrochet.lionbrand.com/ Free Crochet Lessons and how to's http://www.craftown.com/crolesson.htm Basic Crochet Instructions http://www.learntoknit.com/instructions_cr.php3 others http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/content.html?type_id=S http://www.crochetcabana.com Don't leave out youtube! youtube also have very great videos to learn from. for patterns visit: http://www.lionbrand.com http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com
  4. I recommend Klutz books. The instruction is clear and easy to follow.
  5. I recommend checking your local craft store to see if they have classes. If they don't go to Youtube, I learned how to knit on youtube and cranked out 5 scarves in 3 weeks.
  6. There are thousands of books available, but you could talk with a friend even try your Mom, Grand Mom and their friends. Anyone of them would probably enjoy the company and they love to share. If that doesn't work, try a senior citizen home. Call for their activities director and she can probably match you with a good teacher. And you will be delighted in the stores they can tell you while teaching. Most of those old coots are priceless. I taught myself to crochet. I went to the local store, asked a lot of stupid questions and picked out some yard and needles (with help from the elderly clerk-who quickly figured out that I had no idea what I was doing) When I asked for 25 skeins of my yard, she said.....well, honey, what are you going to make? I told her I wanted to make a kindsize bedspread. And she said. well, honey, couldn't you start with a scarf? Nope!, wanted a bedspread. But I made the scarf later.
  7. Any craft store sells beginner or how-to books. Michaels, A.C. Moore, etc. Also, some of them have classes to teach you at little or no cost.
