How do I keep my cats stitches clean?

I had my cat spayed earlier in the week. I have her in the collar and I see that the itching and not being able to clean herself is driving her insane, but I don't want her to pull nothing out. However I don't know how to keep the stitch area clean. What do you I use so that I don't hurt her?

1. You really don't need to clean them at all. They can get a little crusty, but it is part of the healing process. If you really feel the need to clean the area, use a warm washrag, and gently blot, don't scrub or rub, and let it go at that.
