I have an old knitting machine. Knitmaster Twinmatic. Does anyone know if it's possible to still get spares?

A lot of the needles are broken on mine but otherwise it works very well but I'm limited in the size of garments I can make. I am wondering if any other machine takes the same size needle. I've asked in a knitting and sewing machine shop in my nearest city and they thought that the needle was common with a more modern machine but when I took one of mine in it was different. Any suggestions?

1. What part of the world are you? I know many machines were only sold in England, or were made in Japan, or some companies have now been taken over by others. You may find what you need here: http://www.knittingmachinerepairs.co.uk/ This company is located in Norwich. The KnitMaster is serviced by Silver Reed, so you might be able to find needles from them (or those may even fit your machine). Right now, there is only 2 or 3 companies that are still making machines, and some of the old ones are just not going to have any replacement parts.
2. Check ebay, amazon.com or just google your machine to see if you can find anyone who can get you needles. Sometimes you can find someone somewhere who has the same thing shoved in a closet somewhere with perfectly good needles.
