- Depends $10- $25 probably
- You can sell them at any price. You can even sell them for a million dollars. But nobody would buy them.
- Best way to know, if your willing to take a risk, Sell it on ebay or take it in for auction
- How much is the wool you're using? How long does it take you? Umm I would pay £10- £15 if it was worth it :-)))
- well, how small? how much did the string to make cost? I'd say 10-15 dollars to however much the materials cost.
- A good starting point would be twice the amount you have invested in the yarn to make it. If you get more personalized orders - colors, stitches, sizes, designs, etc. - you can charge three to four times the amount for the yarn prices. That covers your time, materials and pays you for your work. Start with how much your yarn costs, how much you would like to make per hour on your work and any extra's you put on them. Also, in the sewing section of Wal-Mart or where ever you get your materials, they have a small box of labels you can iron onto the blankets. They have "Made With Love", "From Our House to Yours", and other different sayings on them. Just adds that special touch! Good luck with your enterprise!
- Pricing things well is one of the trickiest parts for any of us when we want to sell. I like to look online for something that is similar. So you might google "handmade crochet baby blanket" and see what you can find. A good place to look would be eBay (but remember to look at the shipping price on eBay too, as sometimes people list the item very cheap, like dollar, and then ask way more for the shipping than it costs to ship, like $50). I would start by using a price that is in the middle of the prices you see for blankets very similar yours. Usually, we sell more of something if we price it lower. But then we may have to work too hard making too many to get any real money. Sometimes we sell more if we price something higher. It's kind of strange how that works. Just about everyone who sells has to experiment to see what price works out best. I looked it up for you, and here are a few web sites you can check out: http://pinehollowhandcrafts.com/yard3_2.html http://www.handmade4babies.com/ http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=1857259 http://baby.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=handmade+crochet+baby&_sacat=117019&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_dmd=1&_odkw=&_osacat=117019 Good luck with your sales!
