Knitting....?

okay. so im done with this blanket i made. and i need to know how to knot it to finish it, and get if off the knitting needles. im looking on google now how to do it, but its not giving me any answers. if you guys have any websites that might help me, please include them in your answer. thank you :)

1. Push the yarn off of the needle(you should only have one circle), then cut the rest of the unused yarn so its not connecting, and put your finger in the circle while pulling.

3. knit one stitch. knit a second stitch. slip the first stitch over the second stitch and over the end of the needle. you now have one stitch on the right hand needle again. knit another stitch. slip the stitch from the needle over the just knitted stitch again. repeat until there is only one stitch remaining. cut the yarn, leaving 20cm. thread the tail through the last stitch and pull tight. sew the tail into the stitches.
