  1. dunno iam crap at sewing
  2. well yeah, think about it.
  3. yeah imagine if you tore your trousers at the end of the leg. stiching it when it first gets ripped will save it getting ripped even more and more sewing needing to be done.
  4. At least nine - if not a whole lot more, and you could apply that to anything that can grow in any way - not just knitting.
  5. not while your watching a pot that never boils, and leaving no stone unturned. but as the wise man says "today is the tomorrow you feared yesterday,so don't worry"
  6. DUH
  7. It's not a 'stitch in time'; it's a switch in time...it refers to Franklin D. Roosevelt's attempt to get legislation through congress and congresses attempts to block it (they were like so right wing that Genghis Khan would have been proud). So the president warned them that he would appoint extra supreme court justices until there were enough that the votes would go his way. This scared congress enough that they passed the legislation he wanted to help pull the country out of the great depression. In return, he did not appoint any extra justices to the supreme court (which he had the power to do) and so, the number of justices is still to this day, nine.
  8. Just imagine if you had the power to make everyone in this World stop for just a second to think before they acted... Think about all those major past decisions... Here's one for starters; "Dropping the first Atom bomb...."
  9. Take your time over things and you will get it right first time, rush into things and more than likely you will get it wrong.
  10. I agree. Taking appropriate action in good time in any situation is likely to save much greater effort later on when things have become more difficult to put right.
  11. How about a practical example. A toilet doesn't flush until operated three times with experience. Over 100 people use it though an eight hour shift. Approx' 60 minutes of work lost for 300 shifts in a year. Cost of repair? 30 minutes. The answer must be YES.
  12. What's mean ? nine refer in whats point ?
  13. nine what? cats' lives? i doubt it.
