- It's a great cliche' that would be good poetry fabric. I'll give it a try. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Too Late by Victoria Tarrani ((c) 0807.01) A life time of memories are swift to unravel though time after time I've sewn them together in my attempt to cleverly weave each one in and hide the many broken threads. Innocence was bound with neat loving stitches that you breached. Trim the loose, fly away threads! Instead I try to gather the bits and mend the holes where love once lived -- eons ago. Sorrow and tears weakened love by absences, unexplained, unacceptable, verging on neglect; and you knew even I could not hold this together or stitch fast enough to make it whole. Now I need strong thread, infused with hope, to bind the nainsook fragile pieces into an everlasting comforter.
- Poems of Raymond Lee Morehead Esq. FSA Scot. A Stitch in Time Life is the great multi colored, hand woven Tartan of time. Swift is our needlework that passes through it, Tethered by a tender thread. For our stitches are made in memory's broad, Multi colored delicate cloth. Where one thread ends, the next only just begins. Work done today and for all the tomorrow's, Never will truly see an end. Less, perhaps, in Imagination's great castled halls, Where some foresee it finished, And just hung on their wall. Yet for most, they are just proud to have contributed, They’re single stitch or two in time. ♥
- Tori, Wonderful Kudos. At this point in time stitches on my mind are on the sewing machine.
