how would you classify the Knitting Factory in LA?

is it a bar, a restaurant, a club?

1. it sound like something to do with crafts i never heard of it before
2. Knitting Factory is a venue where bands can play. There are 3 rooms and there is a bar in each one. So I guess you can call it a music venue/bar.
