Stitches

is there a possibility that the doctor can remove the stitches 4 days after the wisdom teeth surgery?

Ok, so I'm leaving for college next Fri. and I was suppose to get my surgery today, but the referral expired and my appointment is now on Mon. Is it possible that the doctor can remove the stitches a little bit earlier than a week?

  1. I do ont know, Usually they remove the stitches 7 days after the surgery. it doesnt take long to do it.
  2. You could ask your dentist to use gut sutures that dissolve by themselves. Explain your situation. DDS 34 yrs
  3. The stitches can be removed anytime after 4 days. If you don't have the dissoluble type, call him for an appointment to remove them. Good luck.
  4. I would ask your oral surgeon to use dissolvable ones so then that way they will dissolve on their own and you won't need to have them removed:) That's what I have done, and it is a whole lot easier.
