is there a possibility that the doctor can remove the stitches 4 days after the wisdom teeth surgery?
Ok, so I'm leaving for college next Fri. and I was suppose to get my surgery today, but the referral expired and my appointment is now on Mon. Is it possible that the doctor can remove the stitches a little bit earlier than a week?

- I do ont know, Usually they remove the stitches 7 days after the surgery. it doesnt take long to do it.
- You could ask your dentist to use gut sutures that dissolve by themselves. Explain your situation. DDS 34 yrs
- The stitches can be removed anytime after 4 days. If you don't have the dissoluble type, call him for an appointment to remove them. Good luck.
- I would ask your oral surgeon to use dissolvable ones so then that way they will dissolve on their own and you won't need to have them removed:) That's what I have done, and it is a whole lot easier.
