They say a stitch in time saves nine. Nine what? And what if you only wanted to save eight of them?

- Nine stitches - if you only want to save eight, leave it to the next day and the hole will be a bit bigger
- One stitch now can mean you don't have to take the time to do nine later. It's just an expression.
- lol. Good one. Basically it means procrastination is bad. Put something off until later and it will be worse when you get to it. Here's one for you: When they say "the whole nine yards". Nine yards of what???? Hmmmm....
- You should have 9 stitches per inch, therefore if you take the time and do it correctly you don't have to rip out stitches and correct your work.
