Stitches

I had to get 9 stitches today and ....?

my arm burns so bad, I know that its supposed to hurt, so I'm not worried about that. I had to get 2 stitches in one spot, and 7 in another spot. Anyway, one of the injurys (the one with 2 stitches) is turning a purple color. is that normal?
