How to care for mole removal stitches?
I had a mole removed beneath my eyebrow on the 13th of August, and my doctor covered it up with a piece of tape and said not to remove it unless it falls off, then don't worry about it. The tape is becoming loose, and I was just wondering if there is anything special I need to do to care for the stitches once they are revealed? I do not see my doctor again until the 24th and he didn't give me any instructions. Any advice? Has anyone experienced this before? Okay, thanks for the advice. =) It was definitely helpful.

- I had a mole removed from my back. If the tape falls off its ok, just try to protect the area as much as you can and be careful. The tape is needed just for a couple days just to help keep the skin together and protected. So its fine if it comes off now. :)
- He must have given you instructions...... Keep it clean and dry. If the bandage falls off you should put a dry sterile dressing over it. Buy them at the drug store. You should be going back to get the stitches out in a week to 10 days. If it gets infected before you see the Doc again, go in and have it checked out.
