Can I buy smaller amounts of yarn for knitting?

I am almost finished a project and need about a 1/5 of a skein of yarn. Is there a website that I can buy this? I hate to go out and buy the whole thing.

1. Try Ravelry.com. They have a stash section where people post extra yarn they have available. However finding the same dye lot can be difficult.
2. If there is smaller amounts of yarn out there at the craft store or a yarn-mart, it doesn't mean their yarn will match what you have, as far as color or weight is concerned. It may be in your best interest to go ahead and get a full skein of the color you already have so your project will be worth the effort you put into it.
