I am going to learn to crochet what should I buy?

Since my yo-yoing career didnt work out i have decided to learn to crochet Do I just need the needle thingy and yarn or do I need other stuff. I am going to ask my mother to help me learn cuz she is like a pro

1. All you will need is a hook and some yarn.
2. A hook and yarn is all you need. But if you look around the department, they have some beginner crochet books to help you get started and they usually do not cost very much.
3. There are beginner kits on the crafts shelves for both knitting and crochet. These include yarn, hook, and a book with detailed instructions for the stitches and a couple of patterns for you to start with. Then too there are a number of instructional videos on You Tube that are really good help. Don't give up when it isn't as perfect as your mother's work! It takes time to learn to do the stitches uniformly. Keep working at it. It is a very relaxing hobby when you become comfortable with the instructions and yarn and all that. Enjoy!
