where can i download free cross stitch patterns?

my wife is fond with ballerina cross stitches... if we buy , its too expensive.. thanks a lot to you guys, hope you help

1. Have you checked if there are any cross-stitch pattern books/magazines available in your local library? That is the starting point for me at least if I need to find something new.
2. Here's a good site http://www.freexstitchpatterns.com They also have a mailing list and you can get more free patterns.
