are sugiura ciruclar knitting needles good. Is their factory in Japan shut down.?

How do they rank with Groz-Beckert, etc...

1. no those circulars are not good, and yeah probably shut down.
2. It's only a tool and any tool is as good as the person using them. Some are made better, true, but whether they are good or not is a personal opinion. However, if there is no information on the company, that is not a good sign. If you have the needles, and like them, then they are good. If you are looking to get some, you may have some trouble if they are closed. There are many other companies with excellent needles at great prices, and you should look into those. Knitpicks are getting very good reviews, and a lot of people really like Addis, and some like the Clover. Take your pick.
3. There is nothing about the factory on the search sites except the ones that are making cars and other items.
