How long does it take stitches to dissolve?

I have some dissolving stitches in my nose and they are driving me crazy! Feels like I have something in it.

1. I have the same thing going on! I had a septoplasty a week ago...I actually go to get the stints out today! I also have desolvable stitches in there...I have one hanging out of my nose, I accidental pulled it loose...I would say about 2-3 weeks they dissolve...It depends on the person...

Everyone is different it depends on the chemical and moisture of your skin if the wound is relatively well healed try gently bathing in warm water and pat dry, this will help them to dissolve,don`t forget they will only dissolve inside you skin,and not on the outside in dry air,so a little very gentle manipulation will tell when the outside stitch can be removed.
