Is the thing used to pull hair though a highlighting cap the same thing as a crochet hook?

And if so....what size crochet hook? I lost the thing to my cap *sigh* and I want to put purple highlights in my hair today for a funeral I must attend tomorrow.

1. basically, just go buy a smaller one for small highlights or a medium latch for bigger highlights
2. Yes it's the same thing. Can't tell you which size though, just pick one that will be large enough to pull hair through - the larger the hook, the more hair will pull through so depends how fine you want the highlights.
