Can you bring aluminum knitting needles on a plane?

From your personal experiences did they let you bring your aluminum or metal knitting needles on a plane? What about crochet hooks? Please don't tell me to check the TSA website or call the airport. I already checked the TSA site and found nothing.

2. yes. i took them with me last week and they are fine... my mom took them yesterday and had no problem. dont worry you should be fine.
