Can I get a card for a Brother PE 150 Embroidery only machine.?
I know I would have to get some type of software to transfer the patterns from the internet or a disk to the card. There is nothing in my book that suggests any of this type of thing. No dealers near by either.

- You need PED basic. It's a card reader write attached to a USB you plug into your computer. It has a small program that transfers PES designs from your computer onto a rewritable disk that goes into your machine. If you do a search you can find lots of info on it. The down side the PED Basic version does not allow you to convert designs into PES format and there are NO editing capabilities. But its about 100 vs 300 for the next version.
- I have a Brother 190D and use PED basic. You can always use a free converter like WilcomTruesizer, which has the advantage that it resizes a design if wished as well.
- I had a PE 150 and recently sold it along with the Magic Box and card that I used with it. When this machine first came out, downloading was pretty new and embroidery machine companies sold design cards, which were very expensive. Dealers charge way too much for machine embroidery software. This is where I got my software - http://www.allbrands.com/products/abp01060-0165.html This product (PED Basic) is from Brother and is the best for the money. Make sure the designs you download are no larger that the 4 x 4 embroidery area of the PE 150. There are several free designs you can download at Brother - http://www.brother-usa.com/HomeSewing/GetCreative/free-designs.aspx Free projects and techniques - http://www.brother-usa.com/HomeSewing/GetCreative/creative.aspx Before you download from the Internet, create a folder on your hard drive and name it "Embroidery". This way you will have a designation to save to when prompted. Keep a copy of the folder on a CD or flash drive as a backup just in case the original downloads get lost or destroyed.
