- go back and count the stitches on at least every third row! I use little stitch markers, bobby pins hung on every 20 to 25 stitches across the row to make sure I am not skipping stitches. It is very easy to skip one every once in a while, and also to do 2 in one place and increase rather than decrease. If I am watching a good program I will mess up stitches that way really fast! The other night I pulled out one row 5 times!!! So when you figure out where the error is just rip it out and start counting from there. Crochet is much easier to rip out than knitting is. And we are all very familiar with that stupid frog - Rippit. The more you crochet the more you will get to know Rippit and despise him.
- Are you making the number of stitches required at the end for turning?
- you're not counting enough..it sucks but try counting each and every stich
- You must mean that it is getting narrower. If you have all of the stitches, it could be that you are tightening up the yarn. relax and loosen the stitches.
