How much does embroidery thread cost?

I like to make ankle bracelets out of embroidery thread and i just want to know how much a single little thing of it costs. and which store has better prices wal-mart or Michaels?

1. yeah i love that too!! well me and my friend went to jo ann fabrics and it was really really cheap like 23 cents for one. but if you cant get to jo anns go to wal mart good luck!!!(:
2. since I do "alot" of cross stitching, I used to buy mine at Walmart, because they were the cheapest place to get DMC, but now the only places I can find them at is Hobby Lobby, Micheals, & Joannes. There all about 35 cents a skien. I will tell you look around on ebay sometimes you can find soem great deals on floss. stay clear of Janlynn floss, the reason I say this is becuase both me, & my sister&law who like me cross stitches alot, have had "nothing" but trouble with Janlynn floss, it snags, unravels, breaks off, & when you have to wash it ( we do baby quilts), the colors "will" bleed. The best floss I have uses is, DMC, J&P coats, & Anchor. Good luck.
3. to me michaels has gone way up in their prices on many things they sell so if they have a sale you could go there. Joanns has some on sale sometimes. i've never seen it at walmart but you might want to try ebay or another cross stichshop on line.
