What does embroidery magic 2 software do? Do you like it?

I'm new to embroidering. I would like to be able to create monograms and simple wording with various fonts to put on dresses and shirts. In addition, I have a few simple designs that are saved as jpg's converted into an embroidery pattern. Will EM2 allow me to use fonts within Windows and convert it to an embroidery pattern? Does it do the digitizing for me? I just want something simple. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
