I am looking for a knitting pattern for a hat/beret out of the new 'feathers' type knitting yarn?

1. I think its a great idea - that new feather like yarn is beautiful in a finished garment. I always use the sources from the "Handmade" magazine from Australia. they have advertisers such as "Crossways Wool and Fabrics" their e mail address is www.woolshop.com.au but I guess they have connections to other countries. They will give you a nice pattern. If not - try Housekeeping Crafts.
