What was the most exciting job you ever had? And the dullest?
I used to teach literacy in a NSW prison. The first day I was there someone got shanked in the art room...in fact, the guy standing next to me. That was pretty exciting (or terrifying...as I thought of it at the time!) The dullest job I ever held was as a Proof Reader for technical magazines. Car parts and knitting patterns.

- I cleaned in a hospital. I could always go where the action was & listen in. I was in the emergency dept the first day of hunting season when 9 people died in the state of MD from something related to hunting. One person just went to pick up he deer & fell over he was about age 40. So not everything had to do with guns but this was the first time I saw anything like this...the next day I thought it would be headline news...it was no where to be found...I had to go into a psych room with the biggest man & scariest looking man I have ever seen. He knocked his orange juice off the tray. So I was careful cause he was brought it by the police. After I finished in his room the officer told me the patient hates women....I spend so much time in the emergeny dept so I saw people having heart attacks, Children die, diseases that were contagious, rapes, we had a ICU unit which I saw a young man who was in a common from his herion addiction & his family prayed they were very religious Catholics & he lived. I saw him another time on another floor & he was so messed up I bet they wished they didn't pray for him to live. He looked retarded which is not who he was it was the most horrible thing I have ever seen. They lost there son/bro but they had this I don't know what but he looked like a monster. I saw people getting chemo, I saw many mental patients, many orthopedic patients. people who needed pain pills, you name it I saw it, & I smelled it, it could be so sickening. I could go on & on but I think I had the best job in the hospital cause I could always go where I wanted on my assigned floor. The children's wing made me appreciate everything. ...ok, you asked dullest job....I did telemarketing for many years & people used to tell me things they didn't tell anyone so that was not dull but I did a temp job only for about a day though where I had to make sure numbers matched up. So proofreading but I have had many, many interesting jobs but they are all coming to me now...I worked in a wealthy area selling speciality toys & that was interesting too cause the people would buy these Madame Alexander dolls & all kinds of things that told a story about what was going on in their life. Soft nice, the best stuffed animals that a Dad on the way to the hospital would stop in to buy....I also worked in a higher class area grocery store & sold Fannie Mae chocalates & flowers & men would come in on Fridays to buy flowers for their wives & mothers every week, I loved that...ok, I will stop I have made a career of working until the past year which I have obviously spend on Y/a.
