How long does it take for stitches to dissolve after gallbladder removal?

The stitches are in the inside of my stomach and they are becoming sort of itchy and annoying. Just curious about how long it should take before they are gone. I had my surgery on the 17.

1. there isn't an exact answer to it... So all I could say is... it could take a matter of weeks to months, and in some rare case a year or two. yea... I know thats not helpful. I think the doctor may have suggested you to take pain killers if it is painful to you. As for just being annoying, I would just suggest listening to music, do something else, and try to ignore the itchiness till it goes away.
