If I remove embroidery by hand will it ruin the fabric or leave holes from the stitching?

I have a very nice coat that has an embroidered logo on it but I want to remove the logo. If I remove the stitching will it look bad because of the holes from all the stitching?

1. if the coat is a heavy fabric with a nap or pile, it probably won't show after you pull the threads out, but if it is a shiny surface coat such as nylon, etc., then you probably will always see the holes left.
2. Not only it will leave holes, but it will also show a spot of a different colour due to fading , you can always have another logo applied to cover that spot !
