Whats a cheap dive bar near The Knitting Factory in Hollywood?

Going to a show on Friday and looking at getting primed up before.

1. I'd recommend the Frolic Room - at the other end of Hollywood Blvd. right next to the Pantages. Yeah, it's gentrified over the years and has far more hipsters than regular joes, but it's still fun, loud (great jukebox) and cheap. It's a long walk from the knitting factory, but probably worth just parking once somewhere for the night. Plus, you can peruse the rest of the boulevard while you're at it.
