- There are quite some tutorials online, you can even find some videos like this one ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w45qDIM5S9Y Go to bookstore and get a book for crochet beginners, be sure to look for something has more pictures.
- I love knitting and crocheting! Go to this web site and find a knitting store close to you. Then call and ask if they have an open knit/crochet night, most do, and then there will be someone there who can help you get started. Good Luck! www.dailyknitter.com *click on knitting directories, then yarn stores, then enter your info. Oh I just remembered you can go on you tube and watch instructional videos on crocheting and knitting. I've found then helpful when learning new stitches.
- Hi! It's great that you're trying to learn to crochet! It is a great way to stop boredom, and make gifts that are really valuable and practical. My number one suggestion is trying this out: http://www.youtube.com/user/tjw1963 She makes video tutorials, with videos on basic stitches, patterns, and lingo. Another thing would be to look for a local yarn store. Many, like Jo Ann Fabrics, offer classes. You can locate stores here: http://www.joann.com/joann/index.jsp?_requestid=1015895 Finally, try asking someone who knows how to crochet to show you, like maybe a grandparent. This would be a fun way to bond with that person, and they would be able to help you with any of your problems. Good luck, and happy crocheting!
- Hi, im new here too, i think the online videos are brilliant, i learned to tunisian crochet this way, however, confession time, i still can't follow paper patterns, ive never mastered the abreviations, im sure i could if i spent long enough, just never have and still manage to make things.
