Stitches

Why is she getting pain around the Cesarean stitches?

3 months ago she had a cesarean. She started doing her household works from the first month itself. Gynecologist said ok to do so. These little paining will be a problem? How long she should take care of her stitches? Can she continue her household works?

  1. You mean the incision site? The stitches would be gone by now. She should see a doctor. It could be an infection which didn't heal properly.
  2. If she is getting small pains around where her scar is then that is completely normal. I am assuming that the area looks completely healed and she just gets a pain, or pulling feeling when she does certain activities. If so this is very normal and it honestly might last for a long time. If the pain is more severe to where she needs pain medicine then it is time to call the doctor.
  3. Most mothers and babies do well after C-section. But it is major surgery, so it carries more risk than a normal vaginal delivery. Some possible risks of C-section include: * Infection of the incision or the uterus. * Heavy blood loss. * Blood clots in the mother’s legs. * Injury to the mother or baby. * Problems from the anesthesia, such as nausea, vomiting, and severe headache. * Breathing problems in the baby if it was delivered before its due date. If she gets pregnant again, a woman with a C-section scar has a small risk of the scar tearing open during labor (uterine rupture). She also has a slightly higher risk of a problem with the placenta, such as placenta previa.
  4. Could be she start to do hard work too early let her see her doc because infection can cause it to pain her my prayers are with you both...
