pink and what?!?1 Crochet baby blanket...?

I made a Light pink double crochet blanket... now I am needing a border for it... soooo what color should it be and what kind of stitch?? I need help with this..... I don't think green or blue would look that great with it maybe cream... but thats so bland.... I was thinking black... but... my mom says it should be a light color.... so any advise is very helpful!! and what sort of stitch? a dc? or any others?

2. My daughter was given a crocheted blanket when she was born. It is is pink and peach. LOVE IT!!!!
3. What about yellow, maybe in a bright shade ? Not neon, more like the kind that turns up on everything around Easter.
4. how about a pretty chocolate brown... i know you said you didn't want green, but a soft lime green would be pretty
5. Maybe a darker shade of pink....or, gray,yellow or light purple may work too..=)
6. I made a pink, purple, and green blanket for my granddaughter and it looked great. I would suggest either using the same or a darker pink for the border or choosing another pastel like purple or green.
7. Don't know what stitch to use, but I'd definitely border it with yellow. Pink and yellow are cheerful and girly. Or the classic pink and white, not cream.
