i have to give a speech on 'a stitch in time saves nine'. pls help. the speech should be short and crisp

Somehow I managed to buy two marbles of the size my son had wanted. I placed them in the bag and delivered securely to the beneficiary, But forgot totally to mend the gaping hole in the Pocket.. I have completed half your speech and now you must take over!

I did find that Ben Franklin said, "A stitch in time saves nine." He meant that quick and speedy repairs of small problems can save bigger repairs and more headaches in the future.
