I'm looking for proper techniques for digitizing and embroidery for 3d foam puff.?

1. Puffy foam causes more headaches than it's worth, in my opinion, but I have had some degree of success by limiting the design to 100% satin stitches. For example, consider the letter "I." Satin stitch the top and bottom first (vertically), so the foam doesn't stick out the ends. Then satin stitch the middle at a 90 degree angle to the first stitches. Make sense? I invariably have to practice then tweak patterns several times to get it right.
