Crochet pattern for adult striped stocking hat?

I'm looking for a crochet pattern for an adult striped stocking hat, anyone have a pattern I can use? I have crochet magazines with patterns in them dating from the 70s and I can't seem to find a single pattern for this hat. I've also searched the web, but only find knitting patterns. I don't knit I crochet. Please help! Thanks

1. Most stocking caps are knitted. Sorry, that is the traditional way they are made. Have you checked out the yarn manufacturers' sites? They often have really good selections of patterns. Try www.lionbrand.com and www.coatsandclark.com and any others you may know.
