can people with cerebral palsy do needlework and knitting?

- of course
- Yes. You asked a very similar question just a week ago. The fine motor skills you need to do arts and crafts are the same needed for needlework and knitting.
- are these the same people involved in this situation http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AikpBgTQpMME4PSZBlR4bnPty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090121011923AAz1OPI&show=7#profile-info-nrQhVcy7aa in case anyone is wondering--- some can---some do have full use of their hands--some have impaired use--some have minimal use.... with CP--sometimes the legs are afffected more than the hands--so a person may have decent use of teh hands--but may have difficulty walking
- Some people with cerebral palsy can and some can not. I think only people with very mild cerebral palsy can do that sort of things because it is a condition which effects the motor skills (control of muscles/movement). So most people with cerebral palsy cannot control their hands enough for such small/detailed motions.
- Some people with cerebral palsy, prolim can and some cannot. but they could all have a go. everybody not the same.
- I think it varies, I've personally tried and can't sew or anything like that. I wish I could though, then I could hem my own pants and also create fashions to become a designer.
- No because your brain is sort of dead
- It depends on how severe the cerebral palsy is.My nephew can't walk, talk or use his hands .He can Communicate with a special computer though.
- yes
- It depends what part of your body is affected. The affected parts of the body with CP range from the whole body to only 2 limbs which are either the arm or leg on the same side of the body or a pair of limbs (eg. arms or legs). When if effects a pair of limbs it is more common that if affects the legs than the arms. If the arms are not affected then yes they could do knitting and needlework no problem. If it is one side of the body they possibly could if they are able to hold one needle (for knitting) or the fabric (for needlework) in the less functional hand. Mz Nook CP is a form of brain damage but your brain is not dead if it was you wouldn't be alive.
