what do these proverbs mean?

1. The nail that sticks up will be hammered down. 2. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. 3. strike while the iron is hot. 4. look before you leap. 5. A fool and his money are soon parted. 6. Fish and visitors smell in three days. 7. A rolling stone gathers no moss. 8. keep your head in a crisis. 9. A stitch in time saves nine. 10. you made your bed-you lie in it. Help i dont understand them.

2. 1. If you act differently, people will criticize you. 3. Don't hesitate. 7. This one is weird. It's about making a choice. If you were a rock, you could choose to roll, or you could choose to sit and get moss. You can't get both.
3. Nearly all of them tell you to be careful, cautious and conservative in your actions and behavior. Keeping that in mind, see if you can't figure out at least some of them for yourself.

6. Ok...here's what I think... 1. If you buck the trend or try to stand out you will be forced to conform 2. Be happy with what you've for certain not for something that is unobtainable 3. Don't procrastinate 4. Think about what you are about to do before you do something that can't be undone 5. There is a reason if a deal is too good to believe 6. Don't let visitors outstay thier welcome 7. Someone who is always on the move never lays down any roots 8. Don't panic 9. Taking a little time and care now will save you a lot of time re-doing it again later 10. You make a mistake you regret, it's you that has to deal with it That's my opinion anyway! lol
7. some of them are pretty explanatory, but here you go 1. sometimes it is better to not draw attention to yourself because some people will give you a hard time. 2. a bird in the hand represents something you already have. if you had no birds but tried to get more (the two in the bush) you could lose both of them. In other words, hang on to what you have. 3. strike while the iron is hot refers to metalworking. You have to heat up the metal so it will get soft enough to work with. Meaning = when the circumstances are right, do what you have to do then - don't wait. 4. this one should be obvious. in the most direct meaning you wouldn't want to jump until you knew you could land safely. in the proverbial sense it means don't go into a situation without knowing where you are liable to end up 5. this one is obvious too - a foolish person makes foolish mistakes and ends up paying for it 6. What's there not to understand about this? 7. You can get stuck if you stay in one place for too long 8. Again, this one is self-evident: stay calm in a crisis 9. a small bit of effort now could prevent the need for more effort later 10. You made this situation yourself - now you have to deal with it
