Stitches

HELP! Can i keep my stitches in for an extra 2 weeks???!!

I was told that it could become embedded into my skin and it'd hurt to take it out, but I have vacation coming up and I'm leaving very soon. I was told to remove it this week but I'm leaving today! What if I kept it for another 2 weeks? Will it hurt to take out? I have 7 stitches on my leg and got it 2 weeks ago.

1. You could also have them taken out where your vacation place is. Lots of hotels have a first aide kit or you could try to take them out yourself with the proper tools and disinfectant. I had to do this once for dental work. I was very careful and when the dentist checked it...all was fine. Those stitches could be hard to get out later and possibly leave a worser scar.
2. Why don't you just take them out by yourself. You can get a kit for that purpose at the Pharmacy, or just get yourself a small pair of sharp scissors, sterilize them first, cut the stitch and with a pair of tweezers, pull out the stitch at the end without the tie knot. Clean the area with some alcohol and you'll be fine. Have a great vacation sir. Oh and yes, if you leave them in for another two weeks, they will start growing to your skin and it will hurt coming out, maybe even cut something inside. Take them out, you can do it.
