how do I take care of my stitches on my hand close to my pointy finger ?

1. try not to use that finger until it is healing, keep it clean until then.
2. With great difficulty, I would imagine!
3. Keep it clean and try not to use that hand if you don't have to. Be certain to cover it with a bandage when handling food or anything that may cause infection. Neosporin works well too.
4. Put some antibiotic ointment on it, like Fucidin or Bactroban, and keep it clean in general. Don't wash it or wet it for the first 1-2 days though. Follow the doctor's instructions.
