stitches care how to and what to do

four days ago I had a very large growth removed from my private part. The stitches are very hurtful and the swelling is pretty bad. How do I sit and how is the best way to take care of this? Also does it hurt to get stitches removed? Thank you in advance.

1. Er it depends if the stiches hurt when it gets removed. I got mine remove and it hurted, well, the doctor gets those mini scissors and cut them >.<
2. Keep them clean and dry. The swelling is caused from the trauma of having the growth removed and will get better with time. Sometimes I have used a cool cloth and that seemed to make it feel a little better. Keeping them dry, tho, will cut down on the irritation. They don't really hurt when they are removed, it just pinches a little. Hang in there, ok?
3. keep the stitches clean and dry. it doesnt hurt when they take them out. dont worry you will be fine
