Where's the best place to find counted cross stitch patterns?

  1. Other than my bookshelf, overloaded and waiting for me to use them? Out of self-preservation, if you want local suppliers to be able to stay in business, check local needlework stores (LNSs) first. Then check local used book stores and thrift stores. If people don't look for patterns, the used stores won't either carry them or won't organize them to a single location. Internet: I'd begin with Hoffman Distributors and begin there by seeking a link to a store that deals with them. I've listed Hoffman's find-a-store link below. The same page has a "click" for the Hoffman catalog. And then there's eBay and other Internet auctions and exchanges. I use them as last resort rather than first choice.

  3. You might ask people you know to spread the word that you are looking for c.c.s. patterns.. many people have things like that stuffed in the back of a closet or drawer and may be glad to either donate the patterns to you or lend them. Don't be surprised if you get more patterns that you can use . (as a crafter of hand beaded jewelry I know that there is no such thing as too many patterns.lol..) good luck!!
