What is a guage of yarn that is between embroidery floss & the Lily Sugar n' Cream brand?
I want to do some delicate crocheting but not SUPER delicate...I want it to be more firm than then embroidery floss guage, or tatting/thread crochet.

- You are probably referring to size 10 (bedspread weight) thread. There is also 20 and 30. The larger the number the smaller the size of thread. Most doilies are made with size 10.
- Baby yarn is a little thinner than regular (worsted 4-ply) yarn. You should check out the texture of the baby yarn at the store b/c they are each a little different. For instance, Bernat Baby Jacquards is a little thinner than Softee Baby.
- On the yarn wrappers, most have a symbol that is a skein of yarn with a number on it (1-6). Look for a 1. This is mostly baby yarn, but if you want more normal colors, patons yarn has some sock yarn that is a number one, and there are also websites that you can order yarn from.
