Things for baby/gift store?
While at my aunt's house for a week dog sitting? I have no money and everyone (family) said to not buy anything anyway. I have school work (on line courses for jr college) and a few art projects to finish for Christmas. I can paint decent, sew (if Mom lets me take her machine), and crochet. Well, almost any art type deal lol. Any suggestions for thing to make for my son (he's due Feb 28) or for my mom's book and gift store?? I'm 21 weeks and 3 days today. (Besides blankets lol) CuriousG... That's cute. I wish I was showing. I'm not at all lol.

- Little booties and a hat
- How about some burpy clothes, onesies, and if you feel ambitious, you could make a cloth diaper and covers in case you ever run out or want to do that.. Have fun! And since you are all artsy, you might want to do something like a mold with your belly that you can paint. Added info for you.. just wait until you get big to do the cast of your tummy! It will be fun! But, I just remembered another thing that is fun to make are those baby slings to carry your baby in. Just remember to add extra padding in the straps for extra comfort.
- crochet booties, hats, sweaters, you could make a cover up for nursing moms. Paint cute pictures that could be used in a nursery or even a childs room. You don't mention pottery, but if you can do pottery you could make keepsake boxes. A lot of community centers have kilns to use for the finishing end of making these items. You may even be able to find a way to make these in your oven. You could make Christmas ornaments, either by using a form of pottery or using the clear glass christmas bulbs that are sold at craft stores. (My aunt did this one year they were really cute) Hope this helped.
- Get some Dollar Tree picture frames and do some abstract art for nursery. Just paint it on computer paper... you can get frames later. Start your scrap book. Write a letter to your baby. Take belly pics. The Scrapbooks are like $10 from walmart, but you can still get things ready to put in there... just keep it in a folder. Make some pillows. Like a big pillow in particular for you to lay on with baby on the floor and do tummy time.
- Lets see.. Got any good size jars like pickle jars or some type could paint them put lights in them make a little frilly top for it, paper bags could paint and make book covers, don't have the recipe but I have made homemade Cinnamon ornaments from applesauce and few other ingredients smells really good, paper mac-he ornaments are nice, maybe a mobile for baby. Hope these can get you started.
