  1. I'm not entirely sure what you are asking here. If you can give us some more details, it might be easier to help you. ETA I would embroider it on rather than knitting it separately. Use yarn the colour you want your name to be and then either use back stitch (or some other embroidery stitch) or duplicate stitch (this is when you completely cover one of your knitted stitches with the embroidery yarn). Since your cellphone cover is probably fairly small, embroidering it is likely to be your best option. (Searching youtube for 'embroider knitting' gives a variety of ideas.) Good luck
  2. do it with different fabric colours
  3. Hope this link will help you.. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=knitting&search_type=&aq=0&oq=knit
  4. Duplicate stitch -- sew over each knitting stitch with a large, blunt darning needle & a contrasting color of yarn. 5. You can do the letters in cross stitch . Get some knitting graph paper and draw on the letters. You can get printable graph paper on line or at a craft store. Next time you knit something and you want to knit in the letters (this is called intarsia) you still need to do it from graph paper and knit in as you go.
  6. remember the chart will read back wards for this idea. i did it twice before i got it right it is not hard in fact it is very easy but you start with the last letter of name first if you are doing the whole name
