What type of crochet stitch is used to make stuffed animals?

What type of Crochet stitch is normally used to make plushies? And also if possible can anyone provide me with a video on how to start this stitch ? Thanks!

2. Usually a single crochet is used to make stuffed animals. The softer the yarn the better. The smaller the hook the lighter weight yarn needs to be used. I have no video but if you type in single crochet, you may come up with a video in google search.
