Do you need to keep a band-aid on stitches at all times?

Only about 3-4 stitches i'm not sure but do I need to keep it covered with a band-aid at all times?

1. No, you don't when i was nine i had surgy i got home the next day and i had it over but all i did 4 like the rest of christmas break (yea thats right christmas break) i laid around the so if you doing nothing nope, but if you are doing sports or something like that yep
2. Generally, if a wound required stitches, you should keep it covered to keep it clean. This is more important for a wound in a place that is exposed to dirt more (for example on the hands or feet). If it's elsewhere that is covered by clothing, I would keep it covered to keep out lint. Your doctor should have given you a wound care sheet when you left. If not you can always call them and check.
